it's not really. like picking sides for kickball when you were a kid. QB, couple each of RB/WR, a TE, Kicker, team defense and, at least on yahoo, an open slot for an extra WR/RB/TE. you get points (or lose them) based on what the players do in the games - TDs, receptions, yardage, fumbles, interceptions, etc... makes the IRL games more interesting to watch. it's like having skin in the game without having to gamble
